Kunsthaus S, Senden

Kunsthaus S, Senden, Konzept 2011

Art Collection S, Senden, 2011

The art collection of a prominent accountant comprises several thousand works, most of which can be seen by his staff and clients in the rooms of his practice. A small selection is now to be displayed in an “art house” on private property. In combination with a guest apartment and as a complement to the ensemble with the existing house and garden, a structural sculpture is to be built, which will impress with its cubature, perforation and lighting.

The dynamic, angled shape of the building combines on the one hand the urban development idea of a garden surrounded by buildings, and on the other hand the interiors offer various possibilities for hanging large-format pictures, graphics and the illumination of sculptures. The display of the wall treatment, which is like a dress pattern, illustrates this thought.
