Fassadenstudie Verwaltungsgebäude, Augsburg
Wettbewerb 2013

Façade study for administration building, Augsburg
Competition 2013

Germany’s largest personnel service provider for hotels and gastronomy is inviting entries for a competition for the design of the façade and a building design for the headquarters with administration, gastronomy, hotel and underground car park in Augsburg. The leitmotiv of the façades of the two main buildings is a coloured barcode that takes up elements and colours of the existing corporate identity and transfers them to a corporate architecture in the form of a façade concept. Underlying the barcode, based on a construction grid, are four modules of different widths, which define either a coloured panel or an opening in the façade. Starting from the CI colour of the company, colour codes of three harmonising colour families in red, orange and pastel tones are joined together storey by storey, resulting in a lively overall façade. The façade reacts differently to the different areas of usage behind, and thus characterises the modern appearance of both the building and the company.
