Bavaria Business Park, Grünwald, 2011 - 2012
The planning of a business park for high-quality services on the site of the Bavaria film studios in Geiselgasteig near Munich thematizes an "interweaving" of nature and architecture and depicts the dialectic as a recurring element in the architecture of Titus Bernhard. The leitmotif and starting point is a kind of "zipper" or "spine" as a basic figure: unlike the usual large and compact block developments for such a task, we develop villa-like, sculptural building blocks that on the one hand form a new scale, on the other hand contribute to address formation and individualization and are varied in many ways in terms of design: Theme with variation. Topography and a sequential structure are their primarily recognizable design components.
Bavaria Business Park, Grünwald, 2011 - 2012
The plan for a trading estate for top-quality services in the grounds of the Bavaria Film studio in Geiselgasteig near Munich makes a subject of the "interweaving" of Nature and Architecture and illustrate dialectics as an ever recurring element in the architecture of Titus Bernhard. Leitmotif and starting point is a type of "zip fastener" or "backbone" as basic figure: In contrast to the usual large and compact block developments for such a task, we develop villa-type sculptural building blocks that on the one hand reflect the scale, and on the other hand contribute to the address and individualization and are widely creatively varied (theme and variation). The topography and a sequential structure are the primarily recognizable design components.
