Augsburg trade fair bridge
As part of an expert opinion (1st rank), a design for an ultra-light and technically optimized trade fair bridge was created for the city of Augsburg. It is intended to connect the parking lots south of the access road to the Augsburg exhibition grounds with the exhibition halls across the four-lane highway.The construction consists of three parts: two ramp structures made of precast concrete elements and a steel structure suspended from an inclined pylon, which spans approx. 56m. The steel components are only subjected to tensile loads, which is made possible by the edge cables, among other things. This means that the construction costs can be kept low with a low tonnage.
