Ulm public prosecutor's office, 2010 competition
Strictly rational, carefully detailed, efficient and economical, the two buildings for the new public prosecutor's office in Ulm and the judicial authorities are set in the heterogeneous context of Olgastrasse in Ulm. A shared canopy made of concrete and glass is nonetheless art in construction and connects the two buildings with a motto transferred into sensual light through perforation: iustitia est constans et perpetua voluntas suum cuique tribuendi
Justice is the constant and enduring will to give everyone their due.
Public Prosecutor's Office and Judicial Authorities, Ulm, Competition 2010
Austere, rational, carefully detailed, efficient and economical: the two buildings of the new Ulm Public Prosecutor's Office and the Judicial Authorities in the heterogeneous context of Olgastraße in Ulm. A shared canopy of concrete and glass is also "art in architecture" and connects the two buildings with a motto transformed by perforation into sensual lighting:
iustitia est constans et perpetua voluntas suum cuique tribuendi
Justice is the constant and perpetual wish to render to everyone his due (Justinian).
