Under the motto "New working environments", Eco Office GmbH & C0. KG invited four architectural firms to develop concepts for a future-oriented office building as part of a single-phase multiple assignment.
On the site of a former barracks in Augsburg, an ultra-modern building complex with flexible office space is to be created that promotes employee identification and acceptance. The architecture of the building is intended to become a trademark for the location.
The design of Titus Bernhard Architekten is based on the following concept:
Identity ("iconic building") unique selling point ("the Sheridan Terraces"), unmistakable address, variability and experiential space are terms that are important at the beginning of the considerations for this particular task with regard to successful marketing with a supra-regional focus.
The architecture should be attractive per se.
A terraced building offering services of all kinds, in particular state-of-the-art office space, which is enhanced by the accessibility of the roof areas and flowering roof gardens, meets this requirement.
All units are also accessible via a large open staircase in addition to the access cores.
The building becomes a walk-in sculpture.
